Kushina Uzumaki was the wife of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, and the mother of Naruto Uzumaki, the main protagonist of the series. She was one of the last remaining members of the Uzumaki clan, and along with her husband, was able to use the famous Sexy Jutsu to defeat all their enemies in battle.
Is Kushina Uzumaki Minato’s daughter?
Yes, she was Minato’s wife. Like her husband and their son Naruto, Kushina was a powerful ninja of Konohagakure’s Uzumaki clan. It has been revealed that she originated from Amegakure and belonged to a powerful bloodline, a fact that made her an even more desirable bride. Although they had decided to name him after his father, no one expected that Minato would have named his own child Naruto as well. In addition, it seems as though he made up for not being able to make ramen very well by teaching Naruto how to do so instead.
She also taught Naruto how to whistle, which became something of a family trait. While Kushina loved her newborn son dearly, Minato knew that Jiraiya wanted to train him as an apprentice, so he sent them both away for safety reasons. They spent time in a small cabin on Mount Myōboku before returning home.
The Kushina Uzumaki has red hair tied into two ponytails, fair skin, and three whisker marks on each cheek like all members of her clan. She also had large green eyes like Naruto himself. As a child, she wore a short blue-grey dress with white circular designs around it along with white arm warmers that went up to her elbows. She also wore a headband with an Uzumaki crest on it and regular shinobi sandals. In adulthood, she was seen wearing a sleeveless qipao dress that stopped at her thighs with mesh armor underneath it; she wore fingerless gloves that covered up to her mid-bicep as well as bandages around both legs.
Her Marriage to Minato Namikaze
Throughout her marriage to Minato, she remained fiercely loyal to him and protective of their unborn child. Her love for Minato was strong enough that she refused to let him sacrifice himself to save Konia, stating that this baby was his son and her reason for living.
Upon seeing Minato’s face one last time before he died, Kushina finally understood how much he loved her and vowed that their son would not have a life of loneliness like she did. She then reflected on her own parents’ sacrifices, which led her to break out in tears and regret not realizing what they had done for her earlier.
Before dying of exhaustion after giving birth, Kushina told Naruto how much she loved him. When Minato noted that Naruto resembled her, Kushina was pleased but noted it was mostly his eyes. When Madara later tried to control both Naruto and Kurama through their shared hatred of each other, Kushina appeared next to them with Minato
While noting that she couldn’t directly help them due to being bound by a contract with Kyuubi, she nonetheless encouraged both of them while also lamenting that they had found each other because they weren’t ready yet. After Madara activated his Infinite Tsukuyomi on everyone else, Kushina met with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki who showed an interest in meeting more members of Team 7 despite having just met Sasuke Uchiha.
How powerful is Kushina Uzumaki?
Kushina Uzumaki was a powerful kunoichi and the main character in Naruto. She was born into one of Konoha’s noble families, but despite her family’s efforts to push her towards being a decent kunoichi, she felt that fighting for peace wasn’t worth her time; preferring to be lazy than take part in political affairs. While on a mission with Team Minato, she met Naruto, and quickly took interest in him; seeing him as an interesting person. Shortly after Naruto beat Mizuki and saved both Iruka Umino and himself from bandits attacking them from behind, Kushina asked Iruka if it would be okay for her to train Naruto.
Kushina in Other Media
Sailor Mercury appears in a few of Naruto’s video games as well. Her debut appearance was in an Ultimate Ninja game (Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 4) where she aided Naruto and Team 7 on missions that took place before those depicted in The Last: Naruto the Movie. In a sort of prequel to that game, The Last: Naruto the Movie, she fights with her husband against Toneri’s goons after they kidnap Hinata.
