If you’re like me, you probably know of Kakashi Hatake from the manga/anime series Naruto. The real question, though, is do you really know much about him? In the story, KakashiHatake is the teacher of Team 7, consisting of the series’ primary characters, NarutoUzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. However, despite his role as their teacher, the characters don’t learn much about him throughout the story.
Kakashi’s Childhood:
Kakashi’s childhood was brought about by a lot of tragedy. His father, SakumoHatake, was one of Konoha’s most powerful ninjas, and his mother died while he was still very young; these events affected him deeply. As an orphan growing up during wartime, KakashiHatake became an extremely perceptive child who learned to judge people quickly by observing them. He trained himself in ninjutsu and studied his abilities as well as those around him. It is said that he even used it to discover more about his parents when other children talked about them in front of him without knowing he could hear their conversations.
He was later orphaned at age 9 after his father was killed in battle. A man named ObitoUchiha, who knew both KakashiHatakeand his father, became a sort of surrogate older brother to him after Rin – a girl whom he had liked since they were children – was kidnapped by an enemy ninja and Kakashi rescued her. This gave him a newfound determination to save others that he has been using as a ninja ever since. He also became an ANBU member in these early years, quickly rising through the ranks before becoming captain at age 20.
Kakashi’s Fighting Style:
As an older ninja, it’s only natural that Kakashi specializes in Jutsu for strong offensive power. His fighting style is based around his Sharingan eye, allowing him to use various Ninjutsu attacks such as Lightning Blade and Chidori (Thousand Birds). The first time fans got a glimpse of Kakashi’s Lightning Cutter was when he used it in his fight against Zabuza. In that instance, he performed three hand seals and delivered a small lightning-based cut on Zabuza’s head, knocking him out instantly. How Powerful is HatakeKakashi?
In addition to his success as a jonin and captain, Kakashi is considered one of Konoha’s strongest ninjas due to being arguably one of its most talented ninjas, rivaled only by HashiramaSenju in terms of sheer prowess. In battle, he relies mostly on his mastery of ninjutsu supplemented with taijutsu and has shown a high level of superhuman strength. During Orochimaru’s invasion of Konoha, Kurama noted that KakashiHatakewas strong enough to stop a Tailed Beast Ball. Also despite losing his Sharingan for unknown reasons in his right eye during a fight against ZabuzaMomochi, he can still use it through his left eye but not as well as before.
