FQHCs provide primary healthcare services to those who are uninsured or underinsured they also offer onsite lab work and pharmacy services and accepts Medicaid. In addition, our FQHCs serve as health centers of excellence, providing training opportunities for medical students and residents.
Why does Legacy Community Health exist?
Legacy was created to improve access to primary care for all Houstonians. When Houston opened its doors as a major industrial city in the early 1900s, there were no medical services available. As a result, disease, injury and death became commonplace. In 1928, a group of social activists and physicians joined together with families who had lost loved ones due to preventable illness or injuries and petitioned City Council for public funding to begin building hospitals in areas where residents couldn’t afford healthcare. In 1931, they opened Hermann Hospital and Ben Taube Hospital on opposite ends of Houston’s Third Ward, providing healthcare services to all regardless of race or socioeconomic status.
This model resulted in even better outcomes than expected: within three years, both hospitals saw a marked decrease in birth weight of newborns overall hospitalizations decreased by 10%; and general mortality rates decreased by 22%. Today, has nine convenient locations throughout greater Houston that serve over 30,000 patients each year.
How can I adjust my strategy to get more sales? What’s working well? What isn’t working so well? Is there anything I would change about it? How will I learn from my mistakes and ensure they don’t happen again in future campaigns? Think of a new way to improve things or refine something that already worked well! Write down notes and ideas. Make adjustments or add to it if you plan on releasing similar material in near future. Evaluate overall success rate then create a detailed report with recommendations for future strategies based off your findings.
