Shizuo Heiwajima

Shizuo Heiwajima Inspiring Quotes

Shizuo Heiwajima one of the main protagonists of the Durarara light novel and anime series, has some truly inspirational quotes about hard work, courtesy, and self-control that you’ll want to take note of and make part of your life too.

Who is Shizuo’s girlfriend?

The Shizuo Heiwajima is a large, imposing man and bartender of Izaya Orihara’s favorite place to drink. He is also a member of a biker gang, but his appearance and personality are completely different from that of his fellow members. Shizuo does not care about others, has no desire for power or money, and finds pleasure in violence for its own sake; he states that he does not have anything to protect, so the fighting will always be fun for him.

Despite all of these traits, he is not a bad person. He simply lacks any sort of morals and cares little for what happens around him as long as it doesn’t interfere with his daily routine (which includes drinking at a bar). Due to these traits, most people fear Shizuo, even those who know nothing about him. The only person who seems to understand Shizuo Heiwajima is Celty Sturluson—another dangerous individual who feels she needs no one else and they seem to share an odd bond between them due to their similar personalities. Both seem interested in each other despite their lack of verbal communication, as they often find themselves helping each other out on various occasions.

Shizuo is protective of Celty, whom he considers a friend, and becomes enraged when someone insults her. In turn, Celty appears to respect Shizuo enough to listen to his advice. At times she even shows concern for him when he gets into trouble. Although neither of them says it aloud, both seem aware that they need each other in some way. However, if either were ever put into danger by the actions of another party (e.g., Shinra threatening Celty), Shizuo would become just as violent towards them as he would anyone else without hesitation or regret.

Who is Shizuo in Durarara?

Shizuo Heiwajima is one of the main protagonists of Durarara. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is a caring and friendly person at heart. Shizuo appears to be based on Benkei from Osamu Dazai’s classic novel No Longer Human, where he’s shown to share many characteristics with Benkei, even having similar facial features; most notably his long hair is styled into braids.

Like Benkei, he possesses superhuman strength and loyalty to those close to him. He has a strong sense of justice and an inability to ignore people in trouble, which leads him to get involved in events surrounding Izaya Orihara despite Izaya constantly provoking him. His childhood friend Tom Tanaka often calls him Daru (as does Celty when she first meets Shizuo), which means Gorilla in Japanese. This is due to his build, height (195 cm), and overall appearance resembling that of a gorilla, though it also refers to his physical prowess as well as his personality traits

. It should be noted that he dislikes being called Daru by Tom, who is usually very close to him. Despite his large size and menacing appearance, Shizuo is actually very shy around women. Because of his fear of violence and other such things, he tends to avoid confrontations if possible; however, if pushed too far or confronted directly by someone who threatens others or insults them (such as Izaya), he will lose control over himself completely and begin fighting anyone within reach regardless of their relative strengths or abilities. Though initially unaware of it himself until Celty pointed it out after their first encounter with each other, Shizuo has some kind of connection with her through her shadow.

Is Shizuo Heiwajima human?

Shizuo Heiwajima is a very powerful man with super strength and, later in life, and ability to form electricity on his body, making him near-invincible. But Shizuo doesn’t use his powers to their full potential—or any potential for that matter. At first, he didn’t know how to use them, then as time went on he simply stopped caring about much else than finding Izaya Orihara who he blames for his power. Which we can all agree is justifiable given what Izaya did; however, I think it’s more important that Shizuo go out there and make a positive difference in other people’s lives.

Use your superpowers for good! In addition to his super strength, Shizuo also has incredible wit and humor. And while most of us would like to be stronger or faster or smarter, maybe we should focus on being funnier. We could learn a lot from  Okumura Yukio self-deprecating humor (and sarcasm). If you’re not laughing at yourself, you’re not really living, are you?
