Why isUchihaItachi so loved?
While iwas a major antagonist in Part I, his revelation as a protagonist in Part II made him much more beloved. However, there are several key reasons for his fanbase. First, people are drawn to his tragic backstory: He lost so many people he loved and was forced to do unthinkable deeds by an evil council of root; if that isn’t enough to bring tears to your eyes than you probably have no soul.
Second, fans see Itachi’s actions after losing everything that mattered most to him as admirable and inspirational; instead of being overcome with grief and anger at what he had done or what had been done to him, he chose not only put his own feelings aside but also help others despite knowing it would cost him his life.
